Not sure how the Bee Gees don't count, they grew up somewhere around Manchester, raised by English parents, and yet Queen for example do, despite Freddie Mercury being born in Zanzibar and being raised in India by Indian parents. Nice idea for a quiz, no need for the minefield, and at the moment quite ill-defined

The Gibbs were born on the Isle of Man and formed the Bee Gees in Australia so it is right (according to the quiz question) for it to be an incorrect answer.

The rules of the game are that the band or artist has to be born or formed there. The Bee Gees were formed in Australia although they were born in England. Another example is U2. Bono and Larry Mullen Jr. were born in Ireland while The Edge and Adam Clayton were born in England, but the band is based in Dublin, Ireland. I hope that clears everything up and answers many questions.

The Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man, which isn't England, or even the UK for that matter/

BeeGees is an unfair and very debatable option. Please remove it.

You really need to either accept the Bee Gees as being correct or get rid of it as an option. @turgidstan- It's very murky waters about the whole Isle of Man thing. I'm no expert on the matter but although I believe that you are correct that they aren't "officially" part of the UK or Britain, I however know for a fact that people from the Isle compete for Great Britain in the Olympics, Commonwealth games etc etc. Actually Mark Cavendish is from The Isle and you could argue that he is currently "Britain's" best sportsmen.

After writing all that, I have just realised that the quiz says English and not British... Oh well...you get my point.

Beegees is fine, English is English, Isle of Man doesn't count. But really, get rid of the minefield. No minefield, and people will feel less aggrieved about beign misled. Misleading people AND making it end the quiz is just too much.

Based on the results, it looks like when it comes to Traffic and England, most people are looking in the wrong direction.

There should be at least one each of a Scottish & Welsh act to act as decoys. Perhaps The Proclaimers and Tom Jones?

I think you need to make it clear that *all* members of the band have to have been born in England (or the band has to have been formed in England). Though it seems needlessly confusing to conflate those two things - why not just ask for "bands with all members born in England" or "bands formed in England"?
