I went down, not down under, on this quiz. Great quiz. I learned a lot, even if I missed to learn it.

Interesting to see John is the most guessed answer, even though it barely made the chart :p

Tried Hugh (Jackman), Russell (Crowe) and Keith (Urban) to no avail. At least Angus (Young) worked.

@brownstown511: perhaps because Crowe and Urban are both New Zealanders...and Angus Young is Scottish.

Nice job! Can we expect to see an Australian girls quiz in the near future?

Wow. I'm even worse at Australian names than I am at American names.

I'm surprised how many of these I considered and then didn't type in. Lincoln, for example, weirdly popped to mind, but I though, nah.

Some parents should be ashamed of themselves... Jaxon? Ryder? They sound like male stripper names.

Like severian, I find the lack of "Bruce" disturbing.

Mind if I call them all Bruce just to avoid confusion?

I'm surprised to not see Jai on here, that seems to be a popular one. Some of these names still make me shake my head though... shame on you, fellow Aussie parents!

Surprised at no Mark, every Australian in their 30s seems to be called Mark.

@matt01: that's why they're in their 30s and not in their 1s.

@skizzo Yes, thank you for that information. My point is I would have thought a name that popular then would still at least be in the top 100.

I think Mark has fallen a bit to the "dated" side. The US seems more conservative though with it's boys names.

*buries face in hands* When I clicked on this quiz I had no idea what it was about. But the picture was of Liam Hemsworth... *ahem* Glad to see my three Australian cousins all made it onto the list! Awesome quiz!

Maybe it's just me. But if I had a son - I would NOT name him one of the more 'popular names' on the list. It just seems so - I don't know - LAZY. Think of something NEW. [Or at least something not nearly so popular] The poor kid isn't even BORN yet [in some cases] and he is already one of the countless numbers of 'Williams' in the world. [Or whatever] Sheesh!!! :o)

Yes, we Australians are an imaginative lot. If the kid's not named after his grandfather, he's named after a character on 'Home and Away'.

At Wyattstouch, actually Crowe and Urban are both undeniably Australia. So what if they were born in New Zealand. They both left there before 5 years of age, moved to Australia, became Australian citizens, identify as Australian and have Australian accents. Are you suggesting that they cannot be Australian simply because they were not born there? That is offensive. I too am an Australian born in another country and I'm as true blue as they come. Neither Crowe or Urban say they are from NZ when asked.
