	So Star Wars is a better sci-fi film than ET, yet ET is in the top 5 films overall and Stars Wars isn't...

	In a perverse way, these horrible lists of films make for entertaining quizzes as you're always trying to guess just WTF the makers of these lists were thinking.

	@NYCub: It's not the only such inconsistency; see Wizard of Oz under Best Film and Best Musical. The only rationalization would be that "E.T." is a better film overall, but "Star Wars" is better at being a "sci-fi" film -- i.e., that E.T. is more of a family film. But that's really stretching it. The truth of the matter is that this was the result of an online poll they did, and sometimes screwy things happen when you do that.

	I think the worst of it has to be that all the Westerns are post-1960. Apparently Kevin Costner pretending to be a Native American is better than anything John Ford or John Wayne ever did. Two from the 1990's, a decade in which I think about 3 Westerns were made in total.

	Agree - I wouldn't call Dances with Wolves a "western" in the true sense, nor would I call 12 Angry Men a "political" film - sure it touches on the norms of being politically correct at the time, but it's not about politics - nor (to my knowledge) is it based on a true event. Surprised Young Frankenstein got a spot above Blazing Saddles. Still...a fun quiz
