| Great Quiz. I am officially stumped by the 17th most populous Asian nation-state |

| Though the red font is intimidating, this is still much less frightening than what I typically think finding mines in the Middle East and Afghanistan would be like. |

| Must.. resist.. urge to type Kyrgyzstan.. |
 | Rhys: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 05:33 GMT | | 4 points |
| I had no idea #19 was so big, purely for the fact that outside of Sporcle, I probably have never heard it mentioned in any context before. |
 | pator: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 07:11 GMT | | 44 points |
| Despite Kim Jong-il's barbaric treatment of his people, I never truly hated him until North Korea thwarted me on this quiz. Kim, you are going down. |

| @pator Sometimes that's all it takes to make someone snap. |

| i used to like you, Kazakhstan. |

| I guess I'm not alone in getting nuked by North Korea. I'm sure they mentioned the population on a M*A*S*H episode and I just missed it. Didn't they used to play Sporcle in the mess tent? |

| Fell for the Sporcle-itis induced Kyrgyzstan |
 | Khazar49: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 08:22 GMT | | 4 points |
| I remembered reading somewhere (maybe even in a Sporcle quiz) that Yemen would be one of the 25 most populous nations in the year 2050, I think. After I was left only with No. 19 (THE most surprising result) and remembered it, I was sure of success... guess not. |

| Why aren't the missed answers shown? I'm using Windows XP SP3 and Google Chrome 13.0.782 |
 | Qeu: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 10:07 GMT | | 1 point |
| Even though I knew Kyrgyzstan is not on the top 20, I typed it just at the begining thinking it may pop some kind of bonus answer. Nothing but the normal boooom.
Sporcle, you dissapoint me. :( |
 | Colchester91: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 11:08 GMT | | 26 points |
| @EinsteinJr: The missed answers aren't shown because for some reason that is just how these quizzes work although half the point of doing a quiz for me is to see where I went wrong and the entire point of the button in the top right saying 'Show Me Missed Answers' is so you can make this kind of decision for yourself. |

| If Kim Jong-Il could feed his own people, North Korea would have made this quiz! |
 | cuendillar: | Sep 9th, 2011 at 15:29 GMT | | 15 points |
| If Kim Jong-Il could submit his own population count unrevised, North Korea would make it to the upper half! |

| #16 was the hardest for me. Always thought of it as a large, but sparsely populated place. |

| Any quiz where it ****s you over for missing one answer is poorly conceived and designed. |

| What is #18???? Only one I haven't gotten. Probably another easy one I missed (S. Korea took me awhile). I question Russia being included, most of it's population is west of the Urals.
Nepal surprised me the most. |
