I appreciate the bonuses; after all, Richard Attenborough played the messenger in Branagh's version.

Yeah, this is the second quiz of this type I've created, and I've found that since it's kind of hard to give a clue for "messenger", so I just put all the characters without proper names as bonuses. I made one for Henry VI, Part One and plan to do a couple more; the history plays get fun when you try to name all the various nobles.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now?

Is it bad that I missed a character that I played?

arg! I could not remember the king's name, and I guess "Hamlet's Uncle" is not a suitable answer. How is it that I remembered Francisco but not Claudius? And I kept wanting to type in Robin Williams...

You should accept Voltemand as a spelling for Voltimand

You need to spell Voltemand and Barnardo correctly.

@leviper, spelling varies based on edition. That said, those need to be alternate answers.

Hamlet should be acceptable for the late king as well as the Prince of Denmark. Other than that, good quiz.

OH, that's why I couldn't get the late King of Denmark. Smartly done. I couldn't figure out the right combination. Funny, "Hamlet's dad" didn't work.

rosencrantz and guildenstern owe a considerable debt to tom stoppard, since i figure it's unlikely they're numbers 3 and 4 on their own merits.

I got NINE bonus answers...how many are there? And why are they bonuses? They're legitimate characters from the play.....

Please let the clowns be full answers instead of being (I assume)bonuses. Billy Crystal deserves some love.

I think the players should be more than just a bonus. I agree with tulliuscicero.

I got one. Anybody care to guess who it was? No Daves, Freds or Johns in medieval Denmark?
