| @baconstud: Some states do have well-known or large branch campuses. Alaska, for example, has UAA and UA-Fairbanks. Texas has several branch campuses that are Division I schools, like UT-San Antonio and UT-Arlington, although UT-Austin is generally acknowledged as the University of Texas. North Carolina also has UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Charlotte (now known simply as "Charlotte") and UNC-Asheville, all Division I schools. |
