I love this quiz. Having said that if you're not going to allow just 'Stoke' you should at least allow 'stoke upon trent' (the name of the town that the city grew from and a term still regularly used by non locals) as well as 'stoke on trent'. It seems a little harsh otherwise.

Agree with cestrian and would add Hull to that for Kingston upon Hull. Otherwise Brighton shouldn't work for B&H nor Newcastle without upon Tyne.

I agree about the inconsistency of full or partial names; it's odd that Hull & Stoke don't work, but Newcastle does, especially when you consider the existence of Newcastle-under-Lyme! It might be a bit harsh, though, to only allow Brighton & Hove. Good idea for a quiz, though.
