| Zaire is not a modern country. I've seen it spelled Mao Tsetung as often, if not more than, Mao Zedung. Especially with the Chinese and Arabic names, you need to accept a bunch of various spellings. Or just "Mao." If you count Washington (the first president) as the founder of the U.S., you should count Ben-Gurion (first president) as the founder of Israel. It's hard to justify one without the other. John Adams was really the one who pushed for indepence from England and got the Declaration signed. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration. If any one person is the true founder, it's one of them. |
