	You know, chances are that some of the bands you do like learned from or are similar to some of the bands on here, considering almost every alternative band out there probably grew up on and learned from Nirvana, Green Day, Pearl Jam, or Foo Fighters.

	Honestly this is just your opinion. If this was offical no one would ever put bands like nirvana, foo fighters or blink 182 on there because they were legendary bands that people liked. Those bands influenced so many bands out now that you might listen to. I mean come on, people have to like nirvana since they completly changed the genre grunge and made it popular. Foo fighters are so popular aswell. They even have their own genre named after tham: Rock n Grohl

	@shadesgordon If you really think metal, as a genre, is better than alternative, you should not be rating alternative music, because that is bias. For example, country music does not appeal to me, so I do not have strong opinions on most individual country artists, no matter how much I hear their music. It would be like saying "I like action movies better than romance movies, so Casablanca is one of the worst movies ever." The opinion is biased.

	@12lehmae- I was thinking the same thing and I've come up with the conclusion that the only possibility is that he must have caught the life-threatening disease known as "Bieber Fever" and spurned all good bands leaving only a closet full of CDs of pre-pubescent whining and knowing no actual good music.

	Any Worst Band Ever list that includes Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, blink-182, Green Day, Pearl Jam, The Script, AFI, Death Cab for Cutie, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Paramore, or Vampire Weekend can pretty much immediately be thrown into the garbage. I don't even like a lot of the ones I just listed, but I can respect them because they are talented and creative. There is a difference between liking something and appreciating it, and you obviously have an ignorant inability to appreciate anything you simply don't like. Heavy metal, on the other hand, is for the most part a terrible genre full of headache-inducing idiots with the same generic lyrics about pain and suffering, over and over and over.

	first off, basically the whole right column is not even a band, but solo artists. Secondly, nirvana is the greatest band in the 90s and this generation. thirdly, all these bands or artists are after 85, so i assume your old. Lastly, you have some bad taste in music

	to the guy who said i must be old, im actually 17 i just love heavy metal to an extent that i hate mainstream/annoying/**ty music which is what all these bands have in common. to the guy who asked for creed and nickelback, i dont hate nickelback enough but creed totally slipped my mind they suck. to the guy who said the right collumn was artists, it doesnt matter because they are still . to the guy who said nirvana shouldnt be here, since they killed the greatest generation of music, have an annoying as and over played song that guitar n00bs everywhere are playing right in my face, and since they have no talent whatsoever, they are easily the worst band ever. to the person who was stereotyping metal, NOT ALL METAL IS SCREAMING!!!!! listen to some good old fashion 80s metal and notice how those bands have more talent than any of these gay bands. to the person who said that nirvana and korn are heavy metal...
