I agree with you that those two are very wealthy, but I only put the top fifteen in this list. I suppose if I made a 20th and 21st century list they would make it, but this list is all-time.

I expecterd Howard Hughes to be on this list. Was he not the richest man in the US at one time?

He may have been. However, this list is based on total cumulative wealth plus inflation, etc.

dang i figured JP Morgan would be on here, he bailed out the bank system himself in the early 1900's
