| Good quiz. Might be good to order the filmns in each decade by date, it's a bit random at the moment. |

| As of right now, they're ordered by their rank on IMDb. |

| Good idea for a different take on top ranked movies. And I have to give you credit for listing directors, not main actor, as the hints. (Francis Ford Coppola is missing a 'd' on Apocalypse Now.) |

| I typed in 'a' and got The Godfather part II |
 | FrostyD: | Aug 14th, 2010 at 22:45 GMT | | 1 point |
| a, and the, both give you Godfather Part II, strange. |

| I know... I've tried fixing the "a" problem with the Godfather Part II, and there's nothing I can do. I definitely didn't write it to accept "a." The sporcle gods must be playing a game. |

| Should add Inception. Even if it is a complete joke that it's at #4. |

| I may be missing something - The clues have directors' names, right? Christopher Nolan directed Inception; DiCaprio was its star. I'm sorry I know that, it was a crap film IMO. :p |

| 1. Hmm, surprised there are no Marx Bros movies in the 30s column.
2. How come the 2010s movies list the lead actor rather than the director?
3. One of the directors who made "The Matrix" is transgender and identifies as female, so it's "The Wachowskis," not "The Wachowski Bros." |

| Why are the 2010s films listed by star instead of director? |
 | Zak6009: | Jun 24th, 2012 at 05:15 GMT | | 1 point |
| heh I like how the Sporcle system automatically accepts "good bad ugly". Also with all the Kubrick films, I'm surprised Full Metal Jacket didn't make it. |

| Two things the list shows is how good the 90's were for movies (LA Confidential doesn't make the list!!) & how bad the Academy were at choosing Best Picture given so few of those movies actually won the Oscar. |
