A lot of the groups on this list can be attributed to "one-year wonder" guys, who hit way more in the given season than in any other year of their career. Bonds, Maris, Anderson, Hidalgo, Aurilia, and Davey Johnson of the Braves as mentioned above all fall into this category. I would be curious to know if the quiz creator found a source with a list of the top threesomes, or if he did a massive amount of manual research. If it's the latter, that could explain why the '73 Braves are missing, possibly among others. |
