There is another part of the save rule that says if you pitch the last three innings of game (a game where you aren't the winning pitcher and your team never trailed) you get a save, regardless of the score. On 8/22/07, Wes Littleton of the Rangers came on to pitch the seventh with a 14-3 lead. Texas kept scoring, the final score was 30-3, and Littleton got the save. |
