| A few quick notes:
.) The Racine Cardinals played in Chicago. They were named after Racine Avenue.
.) The Frankford Yellow Jackets played in Philadelphia. Frankford is a neighborhood within Philadelphia, not a separate city.
.) I'm considering all the boroughs of New York as one city, so the various Brooklyn and Staten Island teams aren't included.
.) I'm considering modern teams that play in the suburbs as belonging to the city they're named after, and the New England Patriots as belonging to Boston. |
