	Right now I would also say Billups doesn't get in, but he's closer than McGrady or Wallace. That said, if he's the starting point guard on a Knicks team that wins the East or even an NBA title in the next couple of years...he could get a real boost.

	Well, there is currently only 1 eligible finals MVP that isn't in the Hall of Fame (Cedric Maxwell). So while it may take Billups some time to get in (it took Dennis Johnson 18 years and his death), the odds are in his favor about getting in one day. I just wouldn't put my money on him getting in first ballot.

	@hyeh81 you're crazy, if LeBron's career ended today he would be a lock for the HOF. He's won two MVPs! Every person that's ever won an MVP has gotten in, much less someone who has one two, led an otherwise horrible team to the finals, led a team of scrubs to the best overall record two years in a row, and was the best player in the league for at least 5 years

	Rodman getting in makes Ben Wallace's case a little bit easier to make. I'd still bet against it. And I agree with Kraff, Bleacher Report should never be a Sporcle source. The whole point of that website is that anyone can write anything they want and it gets published.

	how can you guys say ben wallace wont be a hall-of-famer? for starters, he is a 4-time defensive player of they year, and billups would never have a case at the hall of fame as a former finals mvp without ben wallace's defense. i understand that scoring and putting up huge numbers are what catches peoples attention, but wallace has a ring and 4 defensive player of the year awards, which is a lot more than what some of these other guys have.

	for people who are saying Wade should be over Lebron or that lebron isn't a lock. Would you say Robert Horry should be in the hall of fame? Of course not. A team is required to get a ring, and if lebron played with shaq in his prime, he would have gotten rings also

	Basketball reference gives the following list: http://tinyurl.com/cgkest It is similar, but D-Wade is much higher and Nash is much lower. Bosh, Parker and Gasol make the list, while Billups is down graded and Wallace isn't in the top 50.

	@kraffcook, you are a moron if you dont think pierce isn't a lock for the hall of fame. What has he done? He's only scored over 21,000 points, 30th all time. He also took a horrible team, whose second best player was antoine walker, to the ECF. He's definitely getting in.

	@kraffcook, yes, you are a moron and clearly don't know basketball if you think Pierce isn't a Hall of Famer. In addition to what DHarvey said, he's a 9 time All Star, 2 time Eastern Conference champion, an NBA champion, and NBA Finals MVP, and roughly 5,000 points away from being the all time leading scorer for the Celtics. I could be wrong, but my sources tell me the all time scoring list for the Celtics has a few decent players on it.

	I bet Manu Ginobili gets in... sounds crazy at first, but 3 championships and he lead Argentina to Olympic Gold... Remember, it's not the NBA HOF, it's the Basketball HOF and they will take into account his International Career and probably his pro career before the NBA.

	A little perspective on LeBron. There have only been 14 individual seasons of 24 ppg 7 rpg and 7 apg in NBA history, and those are LeBrons career numbers. I think HoF is a pretty safe bet.

	@NickGigot, yes robert horry has rings but rings are not the only criteria. To compare Horry with Wade and LeBron on a talent level is ridiculous. But Wade and LeBron talent wise is pretty even so a way to separate them is to compare number of rings. I am not saying LeBron will not be in the HOF because he probably will, but to have Wade as "probable" and LeBron has a "lock" is absurd.

	by the way ladies and gentleman...lebron is an absolute lock, as much as i hate him and everybody else may hate him, hes won back to back MVPs and has put up ridiculous numbers. hes a lock if his career was to end today.

	I write for Bleacher Report and I can tell you it's one of the crappiest sources you'll find. Especially the football page and the basketball page. There are a handful of good to great writers for each sport, and then a large pool of crap.

	I hate Lebron James as much as anybody, but saying the fact that he doesn't have a ring yet means he's not a lock is ludicrous. While it's hard to argue that championships aren't a factor in boosting one's HOF chances, it seems that many of these posters are viewing rings as the end-all-be-all factor. I think Karl Malone, John Stockton, Bob Lanier, Artis Gilmore, Walt Bellamy, George Gevin, Pete Maravich, Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and Elgin Baylor (who have a comined total of zero rings between them) might beg to differ.

	@SofaKingGR8: Sabonis is in the HOF mostly because of his international career. He might not have been a star in the NBA, but he was a really good player for a long time overseas. Like someone mentioned above, its the Basketball HOF, not NBA HOF.

	LeBron has locked up a place in Springfield, ringless or no. Wallace is not going to make the HoF, even with Rodman's induction. Rodman was a unique talent (On the court that is. His off-court antics have no bearing on his career) that we probably won't see again. Not many players could defend all five positions at an elite level like Rodman, and he's one of the five-best rebounders ever, no argument. Wallace was a disruptive player in his own right, but I'm not sure his play had the same impact that Rodman's did. If Vince Carter makes the Hall of Fame I'll puke. He was an elite scorer for about seven full seasons, but his contributions never seemed to help his teams win. But at the same time guys like George Gervin, Pete Maravich and David Thomspon made the HoF, so who knows. Marion? This is ridiculous.
