Very interesting quiz, I found it easier to go backwards from Justin Bieber.

What an awesome quiz! Quick question, if you don't mind- how did you make it so one question can have multiple possible answers?

Shown answer '/' (without apostrophes) then other answers you want to work for each question.

Cool, thanks! I failed the last time I tried it, so I'll give it another shot. I really like how you had overlapping correct answers with only 100% correct route. Very creative.

Very creative and very tough. I'm nominating it. Anyone else who feels the same way should too.

Jesse James could be the infamous bandit OR the infamous motorcycle builder and serial philanderer.

Why did the answers I had wrong change after I finished the quiz? The number of wrong answers stayed the same, but for instance, I know I got Lincoln right, and then it ended up showing Lincoln as one of my wrong answers.

A wonderfully composed list of some of the most influential historical figures in the past 200 years... and then there's Justin Bieber.

hmm it was a bit strange. I swear I got Michael Jackson right and at the end of the quiz it was wrong.

You said they could be alive at any point in the year, yet John Lennon doesn't work for 1980.

tried 1980 for Lennon and it worked.. great quiz, guessed a lot on the 1800s. am I correct in saying that there's only 3 living people on this? that should've been my strategy from the get go, would've made not getting blocked on the mid 20th century a little easier.

This is easier to do backwards... aside from having to keep clicking the "previous" button.

Found it was easier to work from 2010 back to 1800. Found it was more difficult once I clicked "Jesse James" when I meant to click "Jesse Owens".

Great quiz. Tricky! The short life spans of Van Gogh, Wilde, and James (and as I found out later, Chopin) make for interesting strategic decisions.

Yes, I liked this quiz too. I surprised myself in getting lots of the early people. I was surprised when I got Justin Bieber wrong.

It's not working properly. I got John Lennon, Stalin, and Queen Victoria, and not Jesse Owens, Jesse James or Florence Nightingale. However, when I ended the quiz, the three I got right were shown as wrong and the three I got wrong were shown as right. There were others as well.

@Cheeslord, the solution given at the end is the one perfect solution. So while you may have got Lennon, Stalin, and Queen Victoria correct, you didn't peg them for the one year that would have allowed you to get all of the answers correct.

Maybe this is just me, but I get frustrated by "blockable" quizzes - IMO a quiz should be about getting each individual answer correct, not having to work out various convoluted combinations of answers in order to find one which works for the whole thing.

I should have read the instructions. Dang, the blockability nailed me (okay,I nailed myself). Nex time, I'll use some strategery, or maybe work backwards. Super cool quiz.

I go away for a week and come back to loads of positive feedback and loads of plays. Hurray! I hope any problems with John Lennon are fixed as I cannot go back and change - he definitely should have always been in as a correct answer for 1980. I had no idea there was another famous Jesse James but looking him up he seems no more famous than several other Michael Jacksons and people seem fine with that. As many have noticed the answers change at the end to the 'perfect solution' for the years you answered correctly (although there are at least 5 solutions & probably more) - perhaps a new creation option needs to be added for displaying questions at the end rather than answers for this type of quiz.

Who is Diego Maradona?? Please choose names that we would have heard of--the puzzle is hard enough without a wildcard being thrown in.
