	NEW ORLEANS !! ever hear of a streetcar named "Desire"? That line is kept for literary/historical/touristic purposes only, but unless Katrina knocked it out completely, the Crescent City certainly has a streetcar system.

	Besides the weirdness of counting Minneapolis and St Paul separately, there isn't any light rail in St Paul at this time. Not until 2014. The current line is only in Minneapolis and Bloomington.

	@shakescene - There still are street car lines in New Orleans; one runs down canal street, the other goes on St. Charles (like if you were going to Tulane). Why does it accept Newark, but not Jersey City or Hoboken? Also Camden, NJ and Oakland, CA is missing.

	St. Paul has no light rail, anyway it's the entire metro area that has one. For example, Boston's T goes into various towns around the city, but you never think of Cambridge when you think of the T. New Jersey should also be an accepted answer for Newark, because the Newark Light Rail, Path, and Hudson-Bergen Light rail operate through various towns in Northern Jersey. The lack of streetcars on this list (e.g. New Orleans, Memphis, etc.) is a correct, unless you wanted to change the title of the game. And Austin has a paltry new commuter rail system, nothing like true rapid transit as light rail and subways are.

	The entire premise of this quiz is way too ambiguous. Let's just focus on San Diego's light rail system (since that's the one I'm familiar with) It runs through San Diego, Chula Vista, National City, Santee, El Cajon, La Mesa, and various other San Diego suburbs. Conceivably all these cities should be on this quiz. Either that, or change the title to metro areas (and combine Minneapolis and St Paul into one answer)

	Funny story, possibly could be included as a bonus: Cincinnati has miles of railway beneath the city, but once they built it, they realized the tunnels were too small for the trains! They never fixed it, and there never was a functioning subway system in Cincinnati. It is possibly the biggest waste of taxpayer money ever.

	Yeah, many of these transit systems run through a lot of different cities. The BART system in the San Francisco Bay Area goes to Millbrae, San Bruno, South San Francisco, Colma, Daly City, Oakland San Leandro, Hayward, Union City, Fremont, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Livermore, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Concord, Pittsburgh, and Antioch (and that's probably not a complete list). So why is only San Francisco counted. The DC Metro system is the same way, serving a bunch of cities in Northern Virginia.

	Basically, the website you've used as a source is really crappy. I would suggest finding a different one. Streetcars or trams should be included as part of light rail, as in most of the world (and in most languages) there is no distinction between the new term of "light rail" and what it basically is a newer version of: streetcars/trams. Cities with streetcars include New Orleans, Tampa, Galveston, Memphis, Little Rock. Why your source ignores these, I have no idea. Yet they include automated people movers (Jacksonville, Detroit, Las Vegas, from your source, but also strangely leaving out Indianapolis), which are generally classified separately from either light rail or heavy rail. Also, "subway" doesn't refer to a specific type of interurban rail separate from light rail -- a better term to include alongside light rail might be "heavy rail". Subway just refers to any transit system that is underground. For example, St. Louis has a light rail system, and through downtown it is underground, and thus a "subway". Boston even has a rapid bus route that's underground and could be called a subway, and it also has both heavy and light rail lines which are below ground, and also both types variously pop out of the ground, the light rail variety even shares the street in places (much like a tram/streetcar). So there is much overlap with these terms, and you ought to look into that if you want to improve this quiz.

	Here's another quiz that is similar but for all of North America and with a more consistent and comprehensive list: sporcle.com/games/transitfan/urbanrailamerica. (P.S. The Minneapolis Light Rail doesn't even go into St. Paul.) Obviously I approve of the concept though :)

	Once you remove St. Paul, though, remember to re-add it when they complete the light rail in St. Paul in the coming years. Also, when that occurs, please accept "st paul" for "st. paul". On the other hand, if you go with Saint Paul being a part of Minneapolis' metro idea, please change it to "Minneapolis-St. Paul".

	Jersey City, NJ has a light rail that also goes to Bayonne, NJ. The Washington DC metro also runs all around Arlington, VA

	@alleycat9: New York City actually has City at the end of the name. Also, when someone says New York, New York, they mean New York County (which is Manhattan), not New York City as a whole.

	I don't think I would consider Detroit's automated "People Mover" monorail system (which only runs for a few blocks) as a light rail and definitely not as a subway system.

	To the people that are saying Oakland should be on this list, Bart is not a light rail or subway. It is a heavy rail commuter train. I do think the author should I either go by metro areas or only cities with 100,000+ population or something though. "New York City" is not the proper name.

	I agree that Detroit with its DPM should be exempt, as should Jacksonville and Las Vegas. Also, how about replacing the "n/a" with DC or something?

	Why would you remove Detroit? It's a light rail whether you like it or not. It doesn't just go a few blocks, it circles downtown! People do use it to get to work, they will park at one end of downtown, so they don't have to drive through downtown and pay radical prices for a parking garage, then take it to where they need to be IN downtown.

	Tacoma has a light rail line that goes along the harbor and past the arena. And there is a separate light rail line in northern San Diego County, easily 15 miles from the nearest portion of the more famous San Diego system.

	Almost every big city in New Jersey has light rail or an underground train. There are also dozens of cities in Pennsylvania that have light rail but aren't on here. Lastly, you have no basis for leaving out Morgantown, WV, whose rail system—unlike Detroit's or Jacksonville's—actually goes somewhere. You really should do your homework before you make a quiz.
