| Oh my god, Todd Marinovich! I didn't expect to see him on any list that doesn't have the word "bust" in the title |
 | Suffron_SD: | Oct 4th, 2009 at 21:21 GMT | | 13 points |
| I just used all the starters for Tecmo Super Bowl and then tried to adjust from there. |

| If I could spell "Majkowski" I would have had 16. Can't believe I forgot Vinny. |
 | paulvc: | Oct 21st, 2009 at 23:05 GMT | | 2 points |
| you took the words from my mouth, Suffron_SD! Unfortunately I kept spelling some combination of Marinovich and Majkowski and missed them both. Also... Bernie Kosar must have been injured that week--or had he already retired? |
 | mavrush79: | Oct 21st, 2009 at 23:06 GMT | | 4 points |
| LOL! Any quiz with Todd Philcox is a winner! |

| Ah...good old Vinny Testaverde. |

| paulvc, from 92-95, Kosar was mMarino's backup in Miami. |

| Type in 'MAN' and you will get 'Don Majkowski'. Weird, and I know his nick name is 'Majik Man' but still. |

| Mucci, Kosar was still the starter for Cleveland into 1993, and he was with Dallas at the end of the season so that's wrong.
I also have to say that Ken O'Brien wasn't starting for the Jets at that time as he was in his infamous holdout. Browning Nagle was the starter for the Jets at that time. |

| I love how Rich Gannon is also there; he wasn't a star quite yet, either. |

| I surprised to get 20. There were 4 or 5 guys on there that I never would've guessed. Kelly Stouffer? Hugh Millen? The only reason I got Jack Trudeau is because I'm a Colts fan, and I remember that hack attempting to lead the team back then. I think he's in jail now. |

| @chrisp - this quiz asks for who was the starter the week before. So The browns starter had 1 start that year, but it was for the week in question - http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199209200rai.htm. |

| This is a great quiz, cause this is the year I started watching football for the first time. I like how some I remember, and the others, I just start naming all the current NFL analysts I can think of. Kept trying to spell out Majerle for Majic Man 'cause I couldn't remember his actual name. |
 | GoldenBo: | Oct 23rd, 2009 at 20:23 GMT | | 3 points |
| It's been a long time since I have thought about Hugh Millen(ation). |

| Totally forgot Dave Krieg went to KC. Noticed Young is the most guessed answer, but I wonder how many of those 93% actually typed Montana first! |
 | loose_cannon: | Oct 23rd, 2009 at 21:01 GMT | | 7 points |
| @sluze19: Yeah, its weird. I typed in QB Bills without even thinking. |
 | stevo933: | Oct 23rd, 2009 at 21:12 GMT | | 2 points |
| My thoughts exactly, sluze19. I was just going off TSB. It got me 18 of them. |

| Kosar had broken his ankle the week before this and missed most of the '92 season. Tomczak started most of the games after Kosar's injury, but NOT the game on 9/20/92. Interestingly, the player who is the correct answer in this quiz tossed three TDs that game and the Browns beat the Raiders, but he didn't start again. |

| Great quiz! |
 | edgardo2b: | Oct 24th, 2009 at 00:07 GMT | | -4 points |
| Browning Nagle was definitely the starter for the Jets. Ken O'Brien was the backup at this point. |

| ESPN is shocked to hear that there was an NFL before Favre. |
 | danzam: | Oct 24th, 2009 at 01:18 GMT | | 7 points |
| I honestly threw Testaverde in not knowing what team he would come up as or even if his name would come up at all. |

| @edgardo2b and @chrisp ... the quiz is correct. ken obrien was the jets starter. here is the box score http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199209200nyj.htm |

| Ironic that there are two QBs on this list (Moon, Cunningham) who played for the Vikings between the time Favre started in the league and when he joined the Vikings. |

| I am very disappointed that Bubby Brister was not a correct answer. |

| Tecmo was so clutch for this quiz. I tried Nagle with like 4 different spellings convinced it was right. I also guessed Montana first before Young but also because I wasn't sure if he was a Chief yet. Also, I had no idea which team at this point but I knew guessing Krieg was going to be right for someone. |

| Very fun and challenging quiz, though I missed Peete, Testaverde and Rypien because of spelling errors. |

| Great quiz and damned hard. Nice job. |
 | Jon: | Oct 24th, 2009 at 15:44 GMT | | 0 points |
| Great Game, kept typing Jeff George and Rick Mirer(mirer was drafted in 93 I know now) for the colts and seahawks. Being born in 88 makes this harder for me since I was only 4 at the time. Relied a lot on the fact that they will still starting in about 95 or 96 |

 | RichieW13: | Oct 25th, 2009 at 07:55 GMT | | 1 point |
| I got Todd Philcox because he was responsible for a fantasy football loss that week. |

| @Jon
Hebert, oh, lord. It was like they felt an obligation to keep starting him because he was Cajun. (Not that I remember who his backup was. I was playing a lot of guitar at the time, and thought following sports was beneath me.) |
