Might need to check some spellings, e.g. Tolkien, Walcott and Kureishi. I'm a bit confused how Orwell counts as post 1945, but Graham Greene is overlooked, despite writing in the same time period. It'd be between Greene, Ballard and Orwell for number one on my list..

Sorry about the spelling errors, they're fixed. As far as Orwell goes, I guess they figured since Animal Farm & 1984 came out after '45, they could count him. And yes, the omission of Greene is beyond ridiculous.

Also check typo on Martin Amis.

The quiz was fine, good even, but upon discovering the omission of Neil Gaiman I could do no more than sulk.

Crazy list - where did it come from? Apart from Graham Greene, already mentioned, Harold Pinter is omitted, JG Farrell, Evelyn Waugh (should be in on dates if Orwell is allowed); whilst lightweights like Ian Fleming and Michael Moorcock are included. I kept typing in "certs" and became more and more astonished at the omissions.
