Phew! I suggest you go to the Style page and the Group Answers by Same Hint to 3 Columns. It'll make it easier to play. You can break the UK up into 3 columns by adding a space after United Kingdom on rows 31-60.

That was fixed so quick I had time to delete the comments with the suggested correction. A very ambitious and well-done first contribution. Bravo!

I'd give no argument over Gloria Estefan's inclusion. Such is the nature of music as a global language. Perez Prado's recording career, for instance, didn't really take off until he'd moved from Cuba to Mexico… and Mick Fleetwood & John McVie would have never imagined that their little English blues band would reach such success as a pop sensation when the band became 40% American. Fine and well-researched quiz!

For "All for Love", you have just Sting as the performer, but it was sung by Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart as well, and it wouldn't accept all three of their names. Likewise, you only seem to want Kiki Dee's name for "Don't Go Breaking My Heart". That said, great quiz.

Great quiz. I only have a small issue with a couple of the questions. 1) Don't go breaking my heart was a duet, but only one of the artists is represented in the answer. For that question maybe you should have multiple answers. Also one song Somebody that I used to Know is listed on the quiz twice. I realize that it is a duet with singers from different countries, but if you know the song you shouldn't have to answer it twice. I would suggest having multiple answers accepted for each, but only reveal the artist from the respective country when answered.

@Carbon_rod @izzykrazee: The other acts on the songs you list (Elton, Bryan & Rod) are listed separately. But these are the only #1 for Kiki & Sting. There are other featured acts (eg RikRok, Kimbra, Lauren Graham) who are similarly listed.

There's a typo in "Listen to Your Heart". Also, Roxette are out of alphabetical order! Just a small correction - otherwise, fantastic.

The Acker Bilk song is "Stranger on the Shore", not "Strangers on a Shore". Also, you should accept his full title, Mr. Acker Bilk ;-)

Great and fun quiz. The division of some acts made me stumble a bit (I thought the other "Somebody that I used to know" would be the five people on a guitar version, actually four people and beard guy, but they're Australian, so should've known better).
Although interesting: of all the amazing great songs Sting sang, this criece of pap was the only number one? And on a related matter: there actually is better music in Germany than Silver Convention or Milli Vanilli. Really. Trust me. Pleeease?

@Ulkomaalainen: Yes there is better music from Germany. Can, Kraftwerk, Neu, and Faust are some of my favorite bands. Ok, they're from the seventies, but still, they're out there. That said, whenever I hear "Blame it on the Rain", I grin from ear to ear. It reminds me of a good time in my life, and I'll defend it for the rest of my life.

@ulkomaalainen: Actually that "five people playing Somebody That I Used to Know on one guitar" video was by the Canadian band Walk Off the Earth. If you've never seen it:

@Ulkmaalainen: Kraftwerk had a #1 in the UK with "The Model"/"Computer Love". Even we couldn't manage to get Can that high though ;-)

Ooops, Canadian - Australian (I knew "Walk off the earth" and the video)... ehem... ignorant Europeans here.
@ad808: Yes, I understand, I will defend some (absolutely crappy) DJ Bobo songs for the rest of my life for exactly that reason :)

A few minor points of information here--"Blame It on the Rain" hit #1 in 1989, and Duran Duran had another #1 hit ("A View to a Kill"). Fine quiz, though.

I love this quiz! I noticed that you left off Londonbeat. Is that because one of the members was American? I respect that!
