~ Some of these were definitely not sitcoms (Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Lou Grant), and some are debatable (Family Guy, Simpsons, Flintstones, South Park, etc, are generally considered sitcoms, but Doug really isn't). Monk was always nominated in Comedy categories at the Emmys, but so has Desperate Housewives.
~ You included the cable sitcom Brothers, but not Sex and the City, 1st and Ten, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, and many others.
~ And there are also long-running network sitcoms that you forgot. Roseanne, Webster, Mama's Family, Scrubs, Charles in Charge, and I'm sure there are others.
Oh, and last but not least, you forgot the "Sons" in "My Three Sons." |
