| "The Nielsen ratings only include viewers in the 18-49 age range, and are the only useful measurement for how a show is doing."
That's not the case. Nielsen ratings include total viewers, total households, and then demographics (i.e. groupings like 18-49, females 18-35, males 21-whatever, etc.). There is no one rating that comprises the "Nielsen ratings." There are numerous statistical categories, all of which are used depending on what group an advertiser is targeting.
"Wow... FOX programming is really, really pathetic. I remember those shows and avoiding them like the plague. (Except for the Simpsons, of course). The only good thing to come out of FOX."
I have to say, someone who would rather watch The Simpsons than The X-Files is someone...who would root for the New York Yankees. The next time The Simpsons does something funny will be the first time. Groenig is really flogging a dead horse. I guess people like to see the same "joke" done over and over and over again, though. |
