	The title says top 40 hits but in fact all of these seem to be top 20, which can't be coincidental - maybe wrong cutting point used picking out from the charts? And where's part I? :-)

	I understand that these bands fit the criteria you've outlined, but you give a few of these artists too much credit. I mean, does anyone really remember the second A-ha or Gerardo song? And, again, I recognize your criteria are what they are, but Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters and BNL as two-hit wonders as a concept just seems silly.

	When published, I've asked that a bit more detail be given on the criteria. Specifically, for this quiz, I've listed acts that indeed had two top 20 songs, but no other songs to reach the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's hard to believe, but true, that all these acts fit the category. Part 1 is even more specific: Two top ten songs on the Hot 100, and no other songs in the top forty. As opposed to this list, it is, I believe, definitive. That is, I've listed every act that fits this criteria. And to my knowledge, this definitive list doesn't exist anywhere else except the quiz. There are several pretty obscure acts that fit the looser criteria of this quiz, but I wouldn't expect many people to recognize either of their songs.

	I think this is a great test. It has something for everyone. I was the opposite of caramba and got the 6os and 70s and not the newer ones. For Nolij to say who remembers those songs is unfair. Everyone has different taste (and A-Ha happens to be a great band in my opinion).

	Really good quiz. Really bugged me though. I recognized about 30% of the songs but only got 7 right. Either a lack of patience or just mind block. Love these type of quizzes!

	Remember: These are songs on the Billboard Hot 100, not the rock charts or the UK charts. Of course, Pink Floyd are known for more than two songs, but only 2 ever made the top 40! Same with Foo Fighters and some others.

	@MacZidane and XYlophonetreeZ: Do bear in mind rockgolf's criteria (and source) for this quiz. Just to put things in perspective, look at the US R&B chart. Some of POP music's biggest names have barely made a dent there. Elton John, for instance, has had 4 Top 40 R&B hits (one of which was a duet with the Queen of Soul but not including his background--and uncredited--performance on "That's What Friends Are For") compared with more than 50 Top 40 pop hits. Paul McCartney has had a grand total of 3 Top 40 R&B hits (all of which hit the Top 10 R&B) but not a single one of those was a solo hit (one with Stevie Wonder and two with Michael Jackson). David Bowie had TWO Top 40 R&B hits (somewhat tellingly, they were also his only 2 #1 pop hits of his dozen or so Top 40 pop hits. Even Queen managed to crack the R&B Top 40 with 2 hits compared to a dozen Top 40 pop hits before Freddie Mercury's death. Or flipping the issue, Aretha Franklin. She had to go 20 years between #1 hits on the Hot 100 (Respect in 1967, I Knew You Were Waiting for Me in 1987), but on the R&B chart, she had AT LEAST one #1 hit every year from 1967 to 1974, inclusive (those years account for 15 of her 20 #1 R&B singles). Or, look at the Country charts. The Oak Ridge Boys, for instance, had 34 Top 40 Country singles and 16 #1s but could only send 2 of those to the Top 40 on the pop chart (although 2 more made it to the lower reaches of the Hot 100).

	@Bama: Be my guest! You've got the hang of the idea and several good suggestions on the first two-hit wonder quiz comments, and clearly have access to Whitburn books or their equivalants. I think you could write a great third act to this trilogy. Put it in the contributed games list and I'll be happy to provide advice I can.

	I understand your criteria, but I find this list to be a little absurd. If you look at the modern rock charts (also issued by Billboard) it says this: Artists with the most number-one songs: Red Hot Chili Peppers (11) Green Day (9) U2 (8) (tie) Linkin Park (8) (tie) Foo Fighters (7) R.E.M. (6) I just can't see including a band that has SEVEN #1 hits on the rock charts as a "2 hit wonder". Maybe if the name of the quiz were different it wouldn't seem like such an issue.

	If you're going to accept last names for some artists (Cole for Paula Cole, for instance), then "Bon Jovi" should work for Jon Bon Jovi. Yes, it's the name of his more successful band, but it's still the short hand for the guy. I'm guessing more than 20% of people would have gotten the answer if this were the case.

	You said that they had to have two songs in the top 20, but no other songs in the top 40? Because Foo Fighters do not fit that, The Pretender peaked at 37.

	gbthreepwood = Guybrush Threepwood? Cool. Always wanted to meet you. Funnily enough each of those Climax Blues Band songs made my Top 20 favourites of the 70's and of the 80's and they sound nothing alike. I don't know a single thing else by them. Pre-Napster days I was considering getting their Greatest Hits just for those two songs.

	@rockgolf - I'm pretty sure "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine" was credited to Scott Walker solo. I kept entering "Walker" and "Scott Walker" and got nowhere, so I thought I was remembering wrong. I generally defer to your expertise on all things Billboard, but I'd ask that you double-check this one.
