I'm glad to see another of these!
However, I agree with the comment about the bonus "hints" being more distracting than helpful, since they clear the answer you've already entered. When I was trying to work out the villains, for example, I got the "You only have one wrong!" hint, but since the answer box cleared, it was hard to tell which permutation triggered that hint. Having hints was a good idea in theory, but since you can't keep Sporcle from clearing the box when awarding a bonus answer, I'd change or avoid them for the future.
(One possible way of changing them might be to have the completion of an easier category toss out a hint for a harder one--say, getting CINCINNATI TOLEDO CLEVELAND COLUMBUS might, in addition to matching, give the bonus hint "Willow and Dawn have friends in common.") |
