I don't really love a few of the clues- "Umbrella" could easily be "The Odd Couple", "Junkyard" could (obviously) be "Junkyard Wars" (or "Scrapheap Challenge" if you're a Brit)- and since it's run 11 seasons in the UK and 6 in the US, it's not as if that's an unknown show- "XXIV" is just a cheap clue, and while I both understand and appreciate the clue "Ignorant", I don't think it's a partiuclarly good clue; unlike "Whoopee" or "Zoinks!" or "Analrapist", nobody who thought of "SNL" would ever simply say to themselves, "Hahahahaha, 'ignorant'!" The whole line, maybe, but not that one word. If you wanted a single word to describe "SNL", I could probably think of better choices... "Lorne" or "Landshark" (I don't know if that's technically one word or two), or maybe "Wayne" or "Garth", or of course, "Cowbell".
As usual, I'm not criticizing you, rg. I will never, ever criticize you, for you are a genius among quizmakers. But I think a few of these could be better, or at least have alternate answers. |
