Nope. Grover Cleveland was president twice, but he wasn't two
different
presidents.

Good quiz, I was going to complain this was too simple but then I could not think of an appropriate twist, so I think it is just fine

Like it. Only quibble is that it is almost, but not quite, in alphabetical order; personally I'd either have it completely random or all in order but maybe that's just me :o)

The Adams were father and son, as were the Bushes. The Roosevelts were distant cousins. The Harrisons were grandfather and grandson. The Johnsons were not related.

Got them all with 27 seconds to spare. I am a U.S. presidents trivia fan. Can't have too many presidential quizzes.

Why does everyone like to give themselves a pat on the back and brag how fast they did it or how easy it was. Point is, it was a nice quiz oh and Samawesome I beat your time of 15 seconds so dont break your arm patting yourself on the back.

I would have liked to see Grover Cleveland as a bonus. I know he isn't the only president to serve 2 terms, but 2 non-consecutively is worth a nod.

Wouldn't make sense to have Cleveland on there. He's not two different presidents.

He's not two different people but he is President 22 and 24 so one could argue that makes him count as different Presidents. I don't see any harm in making him a bonus answer anyway, which is what Cranium said. Obviously he shouldn't be counted as a full answer.

I always thought it was silly that he was 22 and 24. McKinley should be 24 not 25 since he is the 24th person to be elected.

Egads, my comment from 2010 looks ridiculous. This is perfect as a 30-second quiz. No way now could I get them all with 27 seconds to spare! LOL

@Anne13 - I think you got a thumbs down because people don't usually like it when people brag about their time on quizzes. If you read the thread, we can all see it used to be a 60 second quiz at one time. So your comment makes sense, but people hate those kinds of posts. Not being mean... just letting you know.

@Tony_A: He's different in that he's a different person than the preceding president. Or to put it another way, a president named Cleveland was preceded by two different presidents...

For some reason, I feel sort of touched that Adams is remembered second behind only the most recent example. Poor John Adams did always seem to get overlooked in favor of the other founding fathers (possibly because he was obnoxious and disliked).

Honest question (though somewhat rhetorical) - isn't Cleveland generally considered on Sporcle quizzes as two different Presidents??...It's not really an issue on most quizzes (you type it once - it comes up twice)...My thinking is if the US Government thought to list him as the 22nd and 24th Presidents - then "Cleveland" is a surname common to two different Presidents...yes - Rockgolf is a great quizmaker - and I've read the archived answers too - I just disagree with his (her?) decision here...down-arrow away...

@unpoker: Cleveland is a no-win scenario. If I had included him, people would quite correctly complain that he wasn't two different people. And on the whole, I'd agree that would be the stronger argument.

@unpoker and rockgolf: re Grover Cleveland: I get why he isn't listed as an actual answer, and I understand people's objections to making him an answer since he is only 1 man, but being the 22nd and 24th could qualify him as a BONUS answer, that was my only point. This is my last comment on this topic, I swear!
