Speaking of endings, you may want to change "Enter a words" (which subsequently causes "x / 19 wordss correct").

Good quiz. gallow is in lower case, the rest in all caps.

@Bol: Glad you noted that. The lower case answers, including "gallow" are "bonus words" - there are five of them. They exist in some dictionaries, but are pretty obscure. Entering them does not count as an answer. "Gallows" is much more common, but "gallow" is an obsolete verb meaning "to frighten".

Got a lot by guessing "what sounds vaguely like an actual word", even boni. Missed five easy words I definitely know...

Helps to remember the kind of September when you were a tender and callow fellow. About half the -LLOW words are in "Try to Remember", written by Tom Jones, composed by Harvey Schmidt and first sung by Jerry Orbach in
The Fantasticks
, later covered by Ed Ames among many others.

Plagiarism and the theft of intellectual property are supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery. So I've made a word ladder out of Rockgolf's brilliant quiz, which may be tried here:
http://www.sporcle.com/games/shakescene/adder_ladder
I was inspired to do so by seeing how many pairs of answers here were separated by just a single vowel or consonant. But the hard research, as well as the original inspiration, are of course Rockgolf's.

I thought Zillow would be a bonus, knowing it's not really a word.

@metalmarsh: "Gallow" without the "s" is an obscure word meaning "to frighten". It displays in all lower-case as do all bonus answers.

If my ex-girlfriends are representative of the population at large, that's about right.
