This may be the first time I've ever said this about one of your quizzes but I don't like it. I hate to say that since I always like when people try stuff that's new, and I do like the chain idea and your clues are good as always but I think with this kind of 'you either know it or you dont' quiz at least it is just better to have all the questions written out so that when I get stuck I can skip it and try to work backwards later - it is an interesting format though and I have a feeling there are lots of good uses. Also, when you say each answer is a two word phrase, perhaps you should put the two words as an alternate answer - It took me a few seconds to figure out why it didn't take the second answer.

I disagree. I like this new format.

I agree with betraisefold that it would be good if you accepted the two-word answers. I, too, was stumped as to why the answer wouldn't drop down to the second box. Since your note says, "..each answer is a two-word phrase..", I really thought I was supposed to type that. I finally figured it out, but wasted precious seconds. Please consider adding the two-word phrase as an alternate, or at least explain in your note that while the answer is two words, you should only type the second word of each answer.

Thanks for the input. I've reworded the game info to hopefully make it clearer, but added the two word phases as alternate answers, too.

I don't really like the new format much. It's not near as fun as other kinds as if you can't figure out one then you pretty much have to give up. A lot less fun in my opinion.

Fun quiz. I'll quibble with the George Michael clue though - he's FAR less flamboyant than Boy George. There was never a moment I fantasized over the boy but I can't tell you how many times I watched Michael's "Faith" video. Loved that butt in those blue jeans.

Clever. When Lent is over, I'm definitely making a Sporcle quiz with this new format (I gave up making Sporcle quizzes for Lent).

A combination of multiple things that people get voted down for... Couldn't get the first one and didn't want to cheat - and don't get credit in the end!
And specifically to rockgolf. I tried a quiz in the new format that I think it's more suited towards. I'm not good at making quizzes but I thought you could recommend improvements or just steal the idea and make a similar thing yourself? http://www.sporcle.com/games/kypzethdurron/carmen1 If you could take any time to look at it, I'd appreciate it a lot!

@TJL Specifically because of lent or because you hit your monthly quota? :P

I do like the format of not being able to see the clue until you answer the previous one correctly, but it does become a problem when you get stuck on the third answer...even if you may know ones later in the chain.

I like the format, but it's hard to read.

I liked the format...I've just seen the Boy George...Browne sequence so many times that it's almost a cliche. That said, I love your quizzes and I look forward to more of 'em.

I'm really loving the hidden clues format...I'll definitely have to try making a quiz using it. You've really gotta know your stuff here - with other chain-style quizzes that don't incorporate hidden clues, you can always pick up a later answer and work your way back if you're stuck.

loved the double sugar :)

Looks like a good quiz, but I don't know much about music.
How did you underline Hidden Clues?

I know how to underline, but whenever I click Save Changes, it ununderlines it.
