@TubeChat: Great list. Several of those I considered. But Full House had a significant number of non-Tanners. It would be not unlike listing "The Gellers" for Friends, since at some point 2/3rds of the cast were members of that family.
On Diff'rent Strokes, I thought the boys kept their mother's name. Conrad & Dana play Drummonds, but I don't think Arnold & Willis were Drummonds.
The Nelsons, Andersons & Stones are so ancient I doubt they'd be recognized by most Sporclers. (OTOH, as I write no one player has identified the family in Hannah Montana, so how much worse could it be?)
Brady Bunch and Partridge Family seemed so trivial to answer that I felt I was insulting the Sporcle audience. (On the other hand, a significant percentage of players aren't getting "The Dukes" or "The Simons".)
I eliminated all shows where the central character was the hired help (The Nanny, Hazel, Mr Belvedere, Benson, Who's The Boss, Gimme A Break, The Two Of Us -- wow, that could be a quiz of its own) since I felt the central character had to be a member of the family.
I like the others! Well, like is a strong terms for The Griffins. More like would endure touching with a ten foot pole. |
