So who do the pitch-shifted ladies sound like to you? I hear Nat King Cole on one, Michael McDonald on several others.

I hear Toni Braxton. Lots and lots of Toni Braxton. And the occasional Tracy Chapman.

Cute. It's reassuring to learn that in any tonal range, from "James Earl Jones" through "Munchkin" and beyond, Britney Spears still sounds terrible.

Bravo. Males singers whose vocals have been electronically doctored seems the natural successor. If so please consider 'A boy named Sue'

For some reason, I was a little creeped out. But this was extremely well-done. Good job!

@Crash & celestial: I remember when "Fast Car" came out (pre-internet days) there was a lot of discussion as to whether Tracy Chapman was male or female. Then the video came out.
Then there was even more discussion on the subject.

@rockgolf: I was just wondering, what did you think when you first heard Cher's voice?

My one complaint is that it's too easy to get [almost?] all of these just by guessing popular, current female vocalists, so maybe having to guess in order might be worth considering (although I realize this is more awkward with music quizzes). Other than that, I thought this was an excellent & very creative quiz.

@Dxman: I can't remember hearing Cher's voice the first time. I would probably have seen Sonny & Cher on Ed Sullivan, but have no memory of that or my reaction.

Really funny and weird. I think I heard some Luther Vandross somewhere in there. And the Britney Spears song is "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" instead of Still Not.

I have to agree with a bunch of people on here. I couldn't answer any of the questions -- I kept waiting to hear Fast Car! This sounded like a Tracy Chapman concert. Not that, um, I'd know what that sounds like...

@dxman: haha glad to know I'm not the only one who thought Lindsey Buckingham had a girly voice! Before I was educated in Fleetwood Mac, I used to think that was Stevie Nicks's (I only knew one song and I happened to know she was the lead singer) and felt bad for her for having a kinda manly voice haha!
