	Yes, there really is a list of 9,331 films. The list was assembled by amateur film fan Brad Bourland of Austin, Texas over the past seven years and includes mostly English-language films since the sound era. It does not include non-fiction, shorts or TV-movies. In the linked interview from Slate, Bourland was asked how he determined the order of the films. He replied: I strived to find a consensus between what fans, critics and the movie industry thought — I attempted to synthesize all those opinions. There are people who will look at my list and see their favorite movie is No. 784. I want people to understand that I haven't judged these films. It's not a personal Brad Bourland list. This is what Brad Bourland believes the number has proven to be, and that includes hundreds and hundreds of hours reading critiques from professional film critics, trying to understand how they saw things the way they did, what they're looking for, what they're hoping not to see, and so on. The full list, from which I drew the top 200, is available as a Microsoft Word document at http://www.themovielistonline.com/The_Movie_List.php And I'm going to spoil the ending: #9,331 is "Plan 9 From Outer Space".

	Also, **** this list. UHF is a great movie, but it is ranked lower than Air Bud and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier for some bizarre reason. I mean, Gandhi II? Spatula City? COME ON.

	Actually, there is: The River. But he admitted that he was dealing with overwhelmingly English-language films. The guy's Texan, and most Texans think Kurasawa and Miyazaki are motorcycle brands.

	If you want it in order, go to the source linked at the top of the page. The quiz is in alphabetical order to assist you. If enter a number of the more obvious films that ought to be on the list, you'll probably be able to determine at least the first letter of several of the remaining titles.

	@Shadowplay: Sorry, I take that back. The River is also in English. The compiler indicated that the list was of English sound movies up to 1999. I assumed a film by Jean Renoir would be in French. Mon mal.

	I don't have the patience to do this quiz. I disagree with some of these rankings. Was One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest really better than On the Waterfront?

	Yeah, this list is really troublesome. There are too many significant omissions, A Clockwork Orange, The Magnificent Ambersons, Blade Runner, The Lady Eve, Arsenic and Old Lace, Tootsie, Trouble in Paradise...just to name a few. But included are films like Titanic, Oliver, The Good Earth, JFK, Terms of Endearment? Honestly, those are all fine films in their own right, but not top 200 films. It seems to me that this sort of quiz only sparks dissent and anger, especially when the source is an individual person. Anyway, to each his own and good luck.
