What about the cape for Power-ups? Wiggler for common enemies?
Apr 3rd, 2010 at 07:10 GMT
Hotel Mario was released on the CD-i. Gotta include that for systems
Apr 3rd, 2010 at 07:17 GMT
Game and Watch had a Mario game, as did the CD-i.

what constitutes as a "common" item? p-wing was in one mario. as were about 3 others.

Put a http:// in your source link, it's currently broken.
Acccept just 'mushroom', 'flower', etc. for the cup names. When you're so kind with everything else (like not even having to write out the full names of the games) I completely missed those, thinking I'd got it wrong.
Accept 'Koopa Paratroopa' for Paratroopa.
Accept 'Donkey Kong' for 'Donkey Kong Jr' or
accept 'Donkey Kong' for 'Donkey Kong Jr'. Currently it works for one instance of the character but not the other. Make up your mind!
Bowser Jr. should at least be a bonus answer for the Koopa Kids, or under common enemies.
You should re-arrange your answer so that columns of similar sizes are inline, that way we have to scroll less. For example, put Yoshi Colours/Power-up Caps/Race Names together to make a thin line.
As noted, it's unclear what a 'common' item or enemy is. Particularly the items, the p-wing, frog suit and super leaf all
appeared in Super Mario bros 3. That makes them very uncommon! By contrast, both the mega mushroom and the mini mushroom has now made appearences in 2 main-series games (and many more if you include the party/olympics/sports/paper games)- the Ice Flower has also made 2 main-series appearances. If you include Galaxy 2, the bee mushroom, boo mushroom and spring mushroom also have 2 appearences.

add Paper mario series partners
Apr 3rd, 2010 at 14:34 GMT
couple of things unmentioned yet. Mario Tennis had 2 more characters that you could import by connecting with the GBA version of the game. Donkey Kong Junior was in super mario kart, not Donkey Kong. Otherwise, pretty fun.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance should be their own separate systems as they are each a different gen of gaming (yes the GBC as well)

Good quiz. I suggest accepting just "DS" instead of "Nintendo DS". Also, I'm pretty sure that there was at least one Mario arcade game.
Apr 3rd, 2010 at 16:35 GMT
Please accept 'chain chomp' for chomp.

Thanks, everyone. Changes have been made.

Only thing I would suggest is add Magikoopa for common enemies.

good quiz, thank you

I wouldn't count Smash Bros as a Mario game. Sure it has Mario characters in it, but it also has other Nintendo characters in it as well. It's more of a Nintendo game than Mario game.

those are the cups for mario kart 64, not super mario kart. I think he's called buzz beetle, not buzzy beetle.

Tanooki Suit was a power-up in SMB3.
Jun 12th, 2010 at 05:29 GMT
As others have mentioned, the "Common Powerups" category feels very random. I agree with Cheeseknight that Magikoopa should be added to the enemies category, as well as Dry Bones, who has been in almost every Mario game since SMB3.

DSiWare has the Game & Watch Mario games on it. Maybe add that to the list or add Game & Watch to the list and accept DSiWare for it?
