This is a very good quiz! I also typed in Adam Dunn.

yeah Dunn got me too. Thought Tino Martinez might have been on there too. The biggest shock was that Williams barely made the cut. I guess thats what happens when you stop in the prime of your career to fight a war.

Notes: Vlad Guerrero missed by 1 home run! Adam Dunn would have made the list for CIN but was traded after 32 HR in 2008. Ralph Kiner had a 6th 35 HR season in 1953 but only 7 were for PIT (28 for CHC). Gary Sheffield has had 5 35-HR seasons spread across 4 teams (sorry, Shef). Paul Konerko, David Ortiz and Ryan Howard can join the list next year, among others? Yaz (3) fell short for BOS; DiMaggio only had 2 for NYY. Helton and Musial had 3; Bench and Stargell had 2. Eddie Murray had 0 for anybody and still hit 504.. amazing.

Great quiz - too bad that POS Delgado made the list....

Interesting that Foxx is the only guy on here twice. It looks like some of the guys listed who played for 2 different teams, each for 5+ years, were pretty close.

Surprised that Reggie didn't make the list for anybody, but then he played when 35 HR were monster numbers to put up.

Why can't I ever remember Rafael Palmeiro. It is like I lived in an alternative universe, just like this one, but without him in it.

Surprising that Musial only had 3 35-HR seasons. also thought Helton would be up there for sure, but he also only had 3. I suspect Ryan Howard will join this list soon. Nice quiz

When I got stuck I started typing in names like Delahanty thinking 00-06 meant 1900's! Real brain lock. Still did pretty good. Nice quiz.

Albert Belle missed by 1 also - 4 35+ seasons with the indians, plus a 34-HR season.

The fact that Jimmie Foxx made this list twice suggests that he was an amazingly player that is really unappreciated in the modern era.

I appreciate him! He was a beast, he got to 500 HR faster than Babe Ruth, and he choked to death on a piece of meat.

Very surprised that no Rockies made the list. I tried Galarraga, Helton, Bichette, and Walker. Good quiz.

I also tried all the Rockies sluggers, and Canseco. Funny thing is, I never thought of Bonds. And it's not because of the whole steroid thing (I got Sosa, McGwire, and Palmeiro). I just blanked on Bonds for some reason. Go figure.

Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, about half the guys on this list played during the Steroid Era and almost a quarter have been implicated at a minimum.

I always forget about Andruw on the HR quizzes. To echo mungar, I thought for sure a Rockie would be on here. I went through all the ones he did!

For some reason my achilles in terms of modern players is Frank Thomas. I almost always forget him, even though I know he was one of the best handful of players in the 90's.

Surprised Vlad Guerrero missed, and just barely! With Montreal he had 38, 42, 44, 34, 39.

@sporcle.com: Kenny Lofton hit "fewer" than 35 home runs for 11 different teams, not "less" than.

Beside Lou Gehrig you have him as having 7 seasons of 35+ homeruns but the years say 27-37. That's obviously 10 seasons. Might wanna check that out. Great quiz.

Do you have to be rude about it? I just didn't see it. No reason to be a d-bag. All you had to say was 'it was in a span of 10 years'. That's it.

Ahhh!! I couldn't believe Adam Dunn was on the list and then I saw he hit (in straight seasons) 46, 40, 40, 40, and had 32 for the Reds and got traded to Arizona (finished with 40) Great quiz

@jpp: 1927-1937 is a span of eleven seasons, not ten (count them out).
