	Thanks, everyone. I made the quiz late at night, hence the Taft gaffe. D'oh! Multiple presidents have 2 lines, the 2nd line being states that seceded/rejoined around the Civil War. Tyler may have signed the bill, but Texas became a state in Dec. 1845.

	Yes, first 11 states admitted before Washington's presidency. Nebraska is in the quiz already? and maybe scroll up to avoid seeing the bonuses?

	North Carolina and Rhode Island weren't "admitted to the union" under Washington - they were states all along, but just hadn't ratified the Constitution yet. As per Article IV of the Constitution, admitting a state requires an act of Congress, and there was no act for either, ergo, they were already states (and had been since 1776). I'd list NC and RI in the bonus section.

	Thank you, westbranch. I'd wondered about that. However, since their dates of statehood fall under Washington's presidency, I elect to keep them in the quiz. According to multiple sources, NC "became the 12th state" on 11/21/89, which is good enough for me. http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/today/nov21.html

	Admitting the Dakotas as two separate states was a bit of a surprise in 1889. No one knows which one came first as [the President] shuffled the bills before and after he signed them.

	Technically, all of the southern states were re-admitted to the Union under Lincoln, so he should have 13 states.
