"dem rep congo" and "rep congo" are also common and might be nice alternative to accept? Awesome guiz — thanks for making!

I was really surprised and wanted to quit when 'Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' wasn't accepted. Apparently you're right, only 3 different vowels! Nice quiz!

Great quiz. Though it really hurts your brain - a few answers are obvious but after that it takes simple brainwork.

Correct me if I'm wrong but East Timor has 4 vowels, also I realize that the real name of the country is Timor Leste(or whatever...) but maybe include East Timor as a bonus. Good Quiz though!! :)

I tried North Korea, and when it didn't work, didn't bother trying South Korea, neglecting the extra "u" in there... @megascarp: The countries you mentioned are generally referred to as "China" and "Taiwan", each of which only has 2 different vowels.

Gee. I thought I typed in Bosnia Herzegovina, but it didn't show up. My misspelling or are you not adding the implied "and"? Otherwise. Clever.

Great quiz! I forgot a couple of the more seemingly obvious ones. It's funny how your mind works when trying to visualise how the countries are spelled. "Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has to have 4 vowels... nope. Guinea definitely hasn't...oh!"

Suriname sure was clever throwing that pointless 'e' on the end just to be included on this quiz.

@clicktingstampz: because officially it isn't called that, it's just called Ireland. I think it could perhaps be a bonus. Another possible bonus answer might be Ivory Coast, as the Y is definitely a vowel in this case.

Too much Latin :p I kept trying to type in "Sao Tome et Principe" and wondering it why it wasn't working. Then I saw the answer, and I was like "Oh...Sao Tome AND Principe!" oops lol

If you're giving China its full name then why no 'Democratic People's Republic of Korea'? Also, Cote d'Ivoire is the official name of what the English-speaking world knows as 'Ivory Coast'.

As I recall, I made this quiz using the list from Sporcle's countries of the world quiz so discrepancies are at least consistent with the rest of the site.

I would be glad to see a world capitals version; it's always nice to see one's own city in a quiz. There are only two capitals with the five vowels, and I live in one of them. (No, I'm not from Haiti). @theillest2000: well, if we go with countries no longer existing, we could add the Austro-Hungarian Empire (five vowels).
