| I'd like to see a quiz on knuckleballers who have won twenty games. They don't get very prominent mention. Wilbur Wood was as big a name as there was in Chicago at one time. I very rarely hear his name mentioned. In May of 1973 vs. Cleveland, he finished the final 5 innings of a previously suspended game, allowing 2 hits, and notched the win. He also started the regularly scheduled game and delivered a 4 hit complete shutout. I don't know that many MLB starters have ever bagged two wins in one day. |
