Even if you didn't make the list, you are stating an opinion by making the quiz. Why would you make a quiz out of a list that is garbage? Why you you regurgitate someone else's vomit? This quiz and this list are rife with simplification, speculation, revisionism, and bias. You can't quantify a term like "monster," which is the lame attempt on the behalf of the list's creator, so it is bunk from its premise. After that, the method of quantification is bunk. If all we are doing counting corpses and assigning responsibility, then how do Columbus, Pizarro, de Soto, etc not make the list? How about the nascent government of sovereign India, which Amartya Sen has held accountable for the mass famine there in the early days of independence? Inevitably, the tabulation of the dead for the warmongers on this list includes those who did not die violent deaths, but whose death was in some way caused by the violence created by the so-called monster. How is that person any more responsible for X number of deaths than Columbus for the death by disease of hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions of American Indians? And realize that I'm not saying "Columbus should be on the list," I'm saying that you can't make a list of "monsters" by simply counting the dead. It is not a quantifiable characteristic. It is wholly subjective no matter who made the list and no matter what criteria you use. Therefore, it is TOTAL BUNK. |
