	good idea... but many of the cities on this list are not "small." and Albany is 150 miles away from New York City!

	I realize 'small' and 'nearby' are relative terms, but really... 8 of these 'small' cities have populations of at least 100,000. 4 are among the 100 largest US Cities, with populations exceeding 250,000. As indicated above, Albany is not 'nearby' NYC; and Ann Arbor is roughly 45 miles from Detroit (or, if you prefer, "Ann Arbour" is 75 km away from Detroit).

	Agree with all earlier commenters, and I also think that each answer should have multiple cities so as to make clear that the answer to, say, Oakland, is San Francisco and not San Jose (which is bigger).

	I find it hilarious that people from outside of upstate New York think the state of New York is all so close together.
