I can understand Russia and Turkey to some small degree - but Iran? Did someone move the whole country to another continent without us knowing? Ridiculous.

Of course South Korea is more populous than Iran, Turkey and Russia... not... Find a decent source, because all of those countries are majority/all asian

Many people do not view the Middle East as being part of Asia proper. That is perhaps the only reason why Iran was excluded, but even Iran is not always considered part of the Middle East. Bad quiz.

According to some sources Iran has a smaller population than Turkey. But they're close. Chances are that Iran passed Turkey just recently.

The UN claims that Turkey has a larger population than Iran in 2008. Wikipedia claims that Iran has a larger population than Turkey in 2009. The CIA World Factbook claims that Turkey has a larger population than Iran as of July 2010. I trust the CIA and UN figures over Wikipedias.
