It would probably be better if you didn't include every word in the song, and also made some of the other words sound like they might be in the song (I don't think that anyone would think that walrus was in yesterday). Other than that, good quiz.

I think I will make some more decoys (I am keeping 'walrus' though). However, I think it's better when all the lyrics of the song are in the quiz. Whoever thinks the quiz should still have all the lyrics of 'Yesterday' in it, vote this comment up & vice-versa.

Curse you, "Oh"! You're barely a word and you elude me on every quiz!
Aug 14th, 2012 at 04:23 GMT
I'm kinda surprised Lennon and McCartney couldn't find room for Kyrgyzstan somewhere.
Aug 14th, 2012 at 13:07 GMT
Seems this was not "such an easy game to play."

@rer2121: Great idea, and I now expect a tsunami of copycats. Regarding your "About me" quote, that kind of pun is called a Tom Swifty, and I've got a quiz full of them: http://www.sporcle.com/games/rockgolf/Tom_Swifties
Aug 14th, 2012 at 16:34 GMT
Thanks for the Editor's Pick rockgolf! I knew about the Tom Swifties already, though. They're probably my favorite type of joke/pun!
Aug 14th, 2012 at 18:52 GMT
*I knew it wasn't, but I had to just try it.... Kyrgyzstan!
Aug 14th, 2012 at 19:06 GMT
@rer2121: Great idea with the format, yep, you're gonna start a trend here!
@rockgolf: see comments in your Tom Swify game
@rer2121 again: Let's see some "Word Play" games soon, eh? (and be sure to add that tag!)

If only Kyrgyzstan had been part of "Back in the USSR"
Aug 20th, 2012 at 16:02 GMT
59 out of 59 in order! I'm thrilled to have not failed one of the greatest Beatles songs out there!
Sep 1st, 2012 at 13:33 GMT
Try to spell it if you can
K-Y-R-G-Z...man, oh, man.
I can't spell Kyrgyzstan

Where is the word half? I wasted loads of time making sure my eyes weren't deceiving me! :) It is in the line "I'm not half the man I used to be" Unless I've always misheard that line?
Dec 2nd, 2012 at 10:58 GMT
@lucylu19: You haven't misheard the line. 'Half' is in the song, & it has always been in the quiz. It must have been a glitch of some sort.

Oh... That's what I was missing. Love the game! 5 globes out of 5, particularly for Kyrgyzstan.
Jan 27th, 2013 at 15:31 GMT
Wait, Kyrgyzstan WASN'T in that song? Maybe I should relisten
Jan 27th, 2013 at 16:08 GMT
I misread the instructions and thought it was words that WEREN'T in "Yesterday". Needsless to say the first word I clicked was Kyrgyzstan.
Jan 27th, 2013 at 16:11 GMT
Having said that, I wish they'd worked a Kyrgyzstan reference into "Back in the USSR".
Jan 27th, 2013 at 17:43 GMT
Great quiz, thanks for putting the words in alphabetical order! I had to sing the whole song while clicking the words. 5 globes!
Jan 27th, 2013 at 19:07 GMT
Dang. I was doing great until I got to the end of the song and still had one word to guess. Pooh.
Jan 27th, 2013 at 19:32 GMT
Ahh, the head goes in the hands when you see that the ones you missed included 'such' 'easy' 'game' and 'play'. Suddenly, it's obvious what line I forgot...
Jan 28th, 2013 at 02:26 GMT
I love this song. I'll ALWAYS choose it over "Imagine." Sat here singing the song while taking the quiz. I made the mistake at first of thinking it was the words that AREN'T in the song and chose "Bungalow" very first.
Jan 28th, 2013 at 02:27 GMT
Ah, old Kyrgyzstan, always makes me smile!
Jan 28th, 2013 at 10:38 GMT
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so Kyrgyzstan....
Jan 28th, 2013 at 18:17 GMT
Needs more Testaverde.
Jan 28th, 2013 at 19:54 GMT
I thought it was so easy, just singing the song and clicking as I went along -- and then I happened to notice "Kyrgyzstan" and almost ran out of time laughing. Oh, I believe in Kyrgyzstan. It would make an excellent place to hide away.

Scrambled eggs, oh my baby how I love your legs.

One of the few Beatles songs that isn't about Kyrgyzstan!

Lotta Beatles fans doing this one!
