First of all the right side is usually where the tightend is positioned, what means, that there is an additional blocker, who could occupy the Defensive End. The majority of runplays go to the right side, so you need a better runstopper than passrusher on that side. Second: As you said the left side is the blind side for a right handed quarter back, therefore he can better adjust to the passrush from the right.
