Great! This might be made even harder for us capitals-of-the-world junkies by randomizing the order of the countries: now, with all of them in geographical order, it is pretty easy to figure out what countries you are missing (for example, when I just did the quiz, I forgot Mongolia when typing in East Asia, but I could easily see that it was Mongolia because it was in between China and Russia.

And I hate to do this, but I'm going to post another comment so that I can get this game into "Most Commented" - more views means a greater chance this gets published.

Good quiz but WAY more acceptable spellings should be included for Mongolia's capital (eg. Ulaan Bataar)

I included standard spellings. Ulan Bator and Ulaanbaatar are standard; Ulaan Bataar is not.

My spelling is horrible, but a lot of these I just plain didn't know. But Sri Lanka? I thought I'd taken enough geography quizzes here to have at least seen that one before, but I think i'd remember that one (but there's no way I'd remember how to spell it).

Well, I accepted numerous spellings for Sri Lanka, plus the old (and current economic) capital, too. So I hope that one isn't too hard.

just 160 more to learn before I can get 100% on this quiz, but I think it'll be easier learning the capitals like this than on the capitals of the world quiz (for me anyway)

180 on the first try, and that's with accidentally skipping over Paraguay and Taiwan, two countries I knew. I just forgot to type them in.

can quizzes go longer than 20 minutes? i was at 177 and ran out of time. it seems like one typo can mean the difference between finishing and coming up short for us not-so-fast typists

I was wondering about that myself. I'd rather give this quiz 25 or possibly even 30 minutes, but it seems like 20 is the max right now.

I agree that I wish it could be longer. I got 181 with almost no breaks in typing (ie thinking of the next answer before I finished typing the previous one) and I guess I'm just not a quick enough typist for this. I mean, I missed Moscow, Russia and that was definitely not due to me not knowing the answer...

Great quiz! Should DEFINITELY be published! I agree with everyone that more time is needed as I simply ran out of time. It's a pity that it can't be done. Five stars from me as well.

TOTALLY needs more time, I was typing non-stop and could only get in 157. GREAT quiz though.

I really think they should be in *some* order; I kept losing track of which ones I'd gotten already, which was frustrating. Great quiz, though!

As far as order goes, I'm stuck between two things. On the one hand, putting them in some order makes it a bit easier and some people like that extra challenge, on the other hand, leaving them out of order REALLY makes it harder.

It would help to be able to just type Washington, without the DC part. After all, we aren't typing Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, or Canberra, ACT, Australia. I don't really think anyone is going to confuse the capital of the US with the state of the same name. Other than that minor gripe, excellent quiz. The random order really made it a challenge, which was nice.

Niiiice! I was waiting for someone to make this quiz. This is the Mother-of-all-Sporcle geography quizzes. I got 185 on my first try before running out of time, and I thoguht I was going in a logical geographical order, but I somehow managed to skip Ireland (?). Anyway, great quiz.

I'm pretty sure it's official. Bandar Seri Begawan is the best capital name ever. You go, Brunei! Great quiz.

Need ... More ... Time -- 168 is all I could type in 20 minutes. I saw what was happening and really pushed it, but I don't know if I could ever type that quickly

OKAY. PEOPLE. LISTEN. As of right now, 20 minutes is the Sporcle MAXIMUM. I can't give you more, even though I agree, more than 20 minutes are necessary. If you don't like it, take up some initiative - send a suggestion to Sporcle! http://www.sporcle.com/feedback.php

Could St and Saint be more consistent? You accept either one (St or Saint) for Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. But you don't accept Saint for the capitals Saint John's (Antigua and Barbuda) and Saint George's (for Grenada). You only accept St. Now that I know, of course, I'll type that. But for a first time quiz-taker, it can really slow you up. Thanks. Otherwise, great quiz. Really a challenge to do in 20 minutes, but I made it.
