Need to specify that the source only includes cities among the top 51 in popularity in the U.S. I wasted a lot of time trying smaller snowy cities like Cheyenne and Bismarck.

Having seen 100 degree rainless days for the last 3 months, these places seem like storybook fantasylands.

@lindsay:I already specified that it should be a metro area of at least 1,000,000 people!

Great idea for a quiz and nicely done, but i personally think 1,000,000 + is a little to exclusive, because there are a lot of other smaller snowy metros in the U.S.

woohoo, living in Rochester finally paid off!? 1 million metro is a good break off, you get too small and you start to get hard to know cities. Syracuse (nearby) averages 121 inches, most know of Syracuse but what about Oswego, NY they average about 160 inches or so, Watertown NY? How about Pulaski, NY where I don't know if it ever stops snowing there?!? You gotta break it off somewhere and my hometown finishing in the top spot (beating Buffalo) seems a nice place!

After living in two of the three snowiest cities in the country (Cleveland and Rochester), I'm pretty ok with the weather here on the west coast.

Huh. I almost tricked myself into messing up on this quiz. I knew the snowbelts around the Great Lakes got so much snow, I almost didn't think of even trying the Twin Cities (where I'm from). Only after I quickly realized I was out of metropolitan areas on the Great Lakes did I try other places!
