| Regarding Greece, your source does NOT give a country-wide statistic. It only uses data from Athens which, coincidentally, is one of the driest parts of the country. It would be like taking data only from Phoenix, and calling the US one of the world's driest countries. Overall, Greece is *relatively* dry, but it's like Italy, Spain, and California. NOT like Morocco and Somalia. In fact, according to this source: http://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Greece/average-yearly-precipitation.php most of the country receives much more annual rainfall than the statistic quoted in this game. Your source doesn't take an average for the whole country...it just gives you a statistic for one of the driest parts of the country. In fact, Cyprus and Israel are much drier countries (overall) than Greece, and they're not even on this list. |
