| @isldur-the vast majority of African Americans in the US don't identify with specific African ethnic groups due to lack of record keeping, intermarriage between different Africans, and the adoption of English surnames. This will probably happen with Americans of other races too in the future. For example, I'm part English, Danish, Scottish, and Greek. If I were to have kids with someone that comes from 3 or 4 totally different ethnic backgrounds, my kids would probably start saying their ethnicity is just 'American,' rather than list those 7 or 8 ethnic groups |
