| Ha, I never realized that the last two states are also the only ones with capitals ending in "u." |

| You could change the "-k" question into a "-ck" question. |

| Harder than I thought it would be! Nice one |

| Ending your capital in ''u'' is apparently not cool enough for contiguous states. |
 | slamb: | Mar 7th, 2011 at 19:37 GMT | 7 points |
| A real brain stretcher. |

| Excellent quiz. The fact that the two 'g' capitals end in different versions of the 'g' sound cost me that one. |
 | acbc66: | Mar 7th, 2011 at 19:55 GMT | 9 points |
| Amazing that on all the ones I missed, I could think of one but not the other |
 | fazzini: | Mar 7th, 2011 at 19:55 GMT | 5 points |
| Excellent quiz. Really had to stop and think on some of these. 5 globes. |

| Great and tough quiz. |

| As someone whose first "use" of Sporcle was to teach myself all the US capitals, I still love these quizzes! I thought the time a little too generous at 7 minutes though. |

| One of the first state capitals quizzes I couldn't sweep. (I passed right by Little Rock and aparently thought it ended with a Q.) Deceptively tough. Good one! |

| Blasted Hartford! |

| Missed the -u capitals. Kinda forgot about the 2 non-contiguous states. |
 | TIMMERZ: | Mar 7th, 2011 at 22:20 GMT | 19 points |
| Weird how the brain works. I can name the 50 caps with ease, but did horrible at this. I just couldnt pair them up. |

| Initially I thought "Oh, that's way too much time", but by the end, I was really stretching my brain! A fantastic example of common knowledge with a twist! Thanks for the mental workout! :) |

| Wouldn't accept Juneau and Honolulu for me for some reason |

| Really fun quiz. Exactly like a game of "concentration" for me--I kept coming up with one, and having to remember where I put the other one! |
 | bballsportsstats: | Mar 8th, 2011 at 00:01 GMT | 2 points |
| I didn't think about the non-contiguous states until about 15 seconds left and realized that those 2 went together. Just got them entered in time. |
 | coolg: | Mar 8th, 2011 at 00:12 GMT | 3 points |
| I did it four times until I finally got them all, thanks for a great quiz, harder than I thought! |

| Really made me think. Great quiz |

| A conditioned brain can't decipher this one with any sort of ease. |

| argh, didn't remember boston or madison and i've been to both places! |
 | ImpromptuJ: | Mar 8th, 2011 at 03:36 GMT | 5 points |
| Made it with less than 30 seconds to spare! This quiz really benefits from the Sporcle format--it'd be much less challenging if you could type one of the two capitals next the suffix and save it until you thought of the other one. |
 | pirate6711: | Mar 8th, 2011 at 04:38 GMT | 3 points |
| I missed the -ston and -son pairs. Funny thing is I've been to three of those four cities (exception being Jackson)! Very frustrating, yet very fun and challenging. |
 | xander: | Mar 8th, 2011 at 08:28 GMT | 3 points |
| I thought this was an interesting quiz. And using the capital endings made for some odd commonalities between two often disparate and distant states. I never thought I'd see a pairing of Washington and South Carolina, or Wisconsin and Mississippi, etc. |
 | mswn: | Mar 10th, 2011 at 02:07 GMT | 1 point |
| It's fascinating how the brain (mine, anyway) just suddenly balks at having to sort information this way! Trying to convince it that Lansing and Harrisburg match each other somehow felt like trying to mash two mismatched puzzle pieces together. Does. Not. Compute. Asplode! |
 | 44magnum: | Mar 12th, 2011 at 18:14 GMT | 2 points |
| Great quiz. Like noted above I can rattle off all capitols with ease but pairing them is a challenge. Thanks for a good quiz. |
 | Mrweed: | Dec 9th, 2011 at 16:20 GMT | 4 points |
| This may be my favorite quiz I've taken on Sporcle. Thanks for such an interesting concept! |

| What about Minneapolis? |
 | rattlethechains: | May 8th, 2012 at 21:58 GMT | 2 points |
| @lassidoggy The Capital of Minnesota is St. Paul. |

| Those blasted "-u" capitals.
Took me the longest time to figure them out. |
