@puckett86: Alas no Urdu (you might wish to add a game note or make it a bonus) and talking of game notes, you've accidently added an extra 's' on words (wordss)

@Flick I added it as a bonus. I actually was kind of torn about including the real 4-letter U answer, but I thought it's a cool (and unique, as you see) word that people might like to know.

@puckett, is ma'am not included because it has an apostrophe?

I thought for sure that marm was a word, not just schoolmarm. And it took me a really long time to think of one of the ones that had 32 options. Good to know that sloth word for Scrabble night.

I thought xenox was a type of printing paper... ah well, I'm just coming up with excuses! :P @wqlk3: the 4-letter I answers are IMPI and INTI, I don't know about the 5-letter one(s).

Merriam-Webster, in addition to several proper nouns, has INDRI (a lemur) and ISSEI (a Japanese immigrant). On the other hand, it doesn't have IMPI in the Collegiate (it is in the unabridged, but then so is IIWI, so I don't know what source puckett86 is using).

I used the official Scrabble Tournament Word List. murglurk got the 4-letter 'I' words. The 5-letter 'I' words were iambi, indri, and issei. @LTH yes, that has an apostrophe so it's not included.

@pucket86 Can you link to your source on the quiz? And possibly put it in the question itself. The Scrabble lists are very different that most accepted dictionaries. Also, is this the UK or the US Scrabble list because those aren't the same. Also a note that proper nouns don't count might help people too.

@mississippigirl1 "xerox" is a real word. The word entered the English language after people began regularly using the company name "Xerox" as a verb meaning "to photocopy".

INTI is obscure but UNAU is not? I think the 4-letter I deserves to be a true entry.

"Hmm, 2:00 left and I have NO CLUE what the U word is. Time to start frantically guessing!" I miraculously came up with it after trying every possible letter combo :)

@nikki - I did the same thing (though I never got the 5-letter O answer). I had about a minute and a half and as I started filling in letters for UA_U, followed by UB_U, etc., I thought to myself "With my luck, the blasted word is going to be UZZU." (By the way, @puckett: outstanding quiz.)

Looks like at least 3.3% of people don't think about boobs, even when it would pay off. It's the most guessed word (group), though.

Pretty sure "Xerox" is a proper noun, but I suppose maybe it's entered the dictionary as a verb by now.

I understand that the Scrabble dictionary was used as a source (and I hate saying "what about..."), but I legitimately though "outro" was an accepted word.

I'm happy with my 34, given that English is my second language and "whew" and "unau" are quite obviously not words. (Not to mention that if the "ortho-" prefix is fine as a word, then "oligo-" and "osteo-" should be too.)

I looked up unau; it's a word for "sloth". However, those who actually knew it play way too much Scrabble

Surprised that "yappy" does not make the cut. OneLook shows it in ten different dictionaries. Eventually came up with "yucky". Great quiz.

@Koltrane While I agree that it makes sense as a word, it's not included in my source (which contains over 170,000 words) and I couldn't find it on any other list. I did however add it as a bonus.
