I did a lot of searching and was surprised this hadn't been done before. I credit these two quizzes for the idea: [http://www.sporcle.com/games/Wizzle/countries_inaminute] and [http://www.sporcle.com/games/moviegoer74/countries_ending_in_a_consonant]

I found the countries ending with U the hardest... totally couldn't come up with any. Surprised there's even more than one.

Anyone else keep thinking of cities instead of countries? T - Rabat. R - Kuala Lumpur. Slows me down a little too often!

A lot of fun, I just had to keep playing until I got them all. In the end Bangladesh completely alluded me! Great quiz though.

There's really no reason not to accept the letter A.

@conradmcmasters Yes there is. Sporcle has a limit to the number of characters per answer.

Maybe include as an extra hint the number of countries fitting each letter? Wouldn't be too helpful, but might be nice to know if we're struggling to get the one unique country that fits.

@muse Vatican is a Sporcle-accepted answer for Vatican City, which ends in Y like Germany.

Ah, I was wondering why there were no letters that ended in a, but now I understand. Makes sense, because I feel like I thought of about 50 countries that ended in "a" before I could come up with one that ended in "k".

I might be wrong, but shouldn't St. Vincent and the Grenadines or Cape Verde Islands work for S? I have no idea how those two and Marshall Islands were the first ones I thought of.

@hooverman166: It is spelled KazakHstan. There is an H after the second K. Just a thought, I didn't try either option: Does Ivory Coast work for T and Cote D'Ivoire work for E? Which one (or both) are accepted?

@cbdollyy, @chewbacca22: read the quiz notes! They explain it: since A has so many answers, there isn't space for them all within the Sporcle character limit.

@mdallway: I couldn't get States out of my head. Ohio and Idaho came to me immediately, but I couldn't think of a single country ending in O. I'm not even American... *shakes head*.

this was harder than I thought. I loved it though. Stupid question I'm sure, but besides Central African Republic (which I would have never guessed) what other countries end in c? I have a feeling it's a really obvious one that I'm forgetting.

It would be nice if there was away to hover the cursor over the correct answer and see all the possible answers on quizzes like this with many multiple answers. I had fun with this - it's the kind of quiz you slap your forehead when the answers are revealed and I always think thats a mark of a good quiz. Denmark!! duh!
