Sweet quiz. I am very happy that I legitimately could not remember "Fever Pitch."

Column 4 Row 3 is Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck not Fear Strikes Out. Good quiz though.

@sammyhain You're right. I brightened it a bit. I think it's clearer now. Thanks.
@DANGU3 You probably took the quiz right as I was swapping the two movies. Barely anyone was getting Fear Strikes Out.

Best movie genre out there, Kevin Costner and Charlie Sheen have got to be your baseball movie HOF'ers lol.

The movie Bang the Drum Slowly isn't bad, but I urge all baseball fans to check out the novel it is based on by Mark Harris. It's one of the best books I've ever read.

bmo1616, you should add Dennis Quaid to that list as a baseball movie Hall of Famer. And add Tim Robbins and Freddie Prinze, Jr. to the baseball movie Hall of Shame. My grandmother could throw better than those two noodle arms.

I would not have included 61 because it was an HBO film, not a theatrical movie. And a question. Why is the Bang the Drum Slowly screenshot in black and white? That was not a b&w movie.

There quite a few mediocre baseball films on here, and yet I do not see "Damn Yankees", which is one of the best. Such a pity.

Kevin Costner has never done a bad baseball movie, and never done a good non-baseball movie.

OMG, I can't even think about Bang the Drum Slowly without wanting to cry. That is a wrenching movie (actually, just hearing Streets of Laredo makes me want to cry, whether from association with the movie or the general sadness of the song itself, I don't know).

My take away from this quiz is that more people need to see Bang the Drum Slowly... it's the Brian's Song of baseball movies. Also, even though I am a diehard Minnesota Twins fan and you'd think I'd be able to keep them straight, I still think Little Big League and Rookie of the Year are the same movie.

Some other ideas: Hardball and Summer Catch. Both are pretty terrible, but I still think of them when I think of baseball movies!

I remember watching Mr. Baseball in Japanese once. My favorite baseball movie since. A shame so few people have seen it.

Robert Deniro has many talents as an actor. Playing a baseball player convincingly is not one of them

@The Luggage: NO...61* is the name of the movie. It refers to the asterisk that was (according to legend) attached to Maris' record, since he hit 61 HR in 162 games, while Babe Ruth hit 60 in 154 games.

Nolij, in the Fan, Deniro plays a psycho fan, not a player, also I can't believe Bernie Mac didn't get any love in this quiz, but you put Fever Pitch in?

Unfortunately it wasn't very good, but Tommy Lee Jones' Cobb should find its way in here. And if you really want to make it challenging, how about The Slugger's Wife?

Great quiz. Did you consider using a shot from the original 1951 "Angels in the Outfield" rather than the remake?

Wow, what a lot of movies about baseball. I think the only three I've ever heard of are Field of Dreams, League of Their Own and Bull Durham.
