Excellent quiz. I bet Cote d'Ivoire is going to be the one that most people are going to miss. 5 orbs.

A lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Got the harder ones, but missed some of the 'easier' ones :(

aaaandrew: A combination only works if exactly 2 countries end in it. If you do Argentina and Ghana, people who enter Guyana, Botswana, China and Bosnia and Herzegovina are going to be rather annoyed when their answers don't work.

Tried and failed to actually think of most countries by the ends for a while. Then moved onto just running through an alphabetic list of countries in my head from the countries quiz, and managed to get 17/18. All but the last one alphabetically.

10/18, quite bad. Unsurpringly, 5 of the 8 misses are countries where the name in English is different to the one in Spanish, my mother tongue.

That feel when you get 8 in the first 40 seconds and only 3 on the rest of the time.

Got Honduras, and thought to myself "it'd be nice to type 'Hellas' for instead of Greece and get that other -as". Then I missed Greece under -ce. The ensuing facepalm left a mark across my forehead, and deservedly so.

Got 17/18, El Salvador was the only one I was missing. I was staring at it for the last minute and all I could think of was "Gondor"

@PK9: well, I suppose there must be some limit in time. Zaire was the name of the DRC until 1997, but Texas as an independent country lasted only until 1846. If you don't put some time limit back in the past, even "Roman Empire" could be accepted for -re.
